In order to participate in any of the COINED programs, you need to have a full medical and emergencies coverage. You can get your own insurance, or you can take advantage of the International Travel Insurance offered by COINED.

This coverage is offered through a very reputable provider at preferred rates for our students. Care Med Travel - International Travel Insurance offers an excellent policy for all students or travelers who register through COINED. It includes several special packages not typically found in most health insurance programs. These unique features are tailored to the special circumstances of your "Study Abroad Program." Rates are based upon the length of time you will be studying outside your home country.

These plans offer outstanding benefits with some of the highest limits you will find in any policy of this type. We can cover you from up to 1 week to 2 years and your insurance may be extended during your trip. Medical coverage is unlimited, while work and volunteer placements, and occasional sports and activities are included. There is 24 hour worldwide medical assistance including Air Ambulance and on-the-spot claim settlement.

COST

This coverage is available to our participants for only $ 30 per week. We also offer a promotional rate of $ 110 per month.

If you choose not to use our insurance, we would strongly recommend that you check with your insurance company to ensure that you will be sufficiently covered for the whole length of the program.

COVERAGE

The health coverage is unlimited and includes volunteer work, professional internships, and some other activities and sports. You will also have a medical assistance service 24 hours a day in any part of the world, which includes air ambulance and claims. The coverage extends up to 72 extra hours if the returning trip is delayed due to problems in the means of transport, or up to 4 weeks if the passenger is undergoing a medical treatment at the insurance due date and their transfer is not convenient.
