COINED intercultural programs share a common identity: the modern learning concept of cultural immersion. With this in mind, COINED offers the option of staying with a host family or with local students where you can practice and improve your language skills outside the classroom, whilst at the same time experiencing local life.

In general, the results of these experiences are long-lasting friendships. This is a great advantage, as you can continue to practice your Spanish several years after you have finished the program, via letters, e-mails, and telephone calls.

Whatever option you choose, we will take into consideration your likes and preferences regarding smoking, children, pets, and special diets. However, you must try to be flexible, realising that the host family has invited you to stay in their home and share their customs and culture with you. You must also consider that their daily habits can be different from the ones you are used to. You will receive your own set of keys, which will give you the freedom to come and go as you please and organize your own activities.

02 | HOST FAMILIES

Our families know, due to their experience, what means to be a real host. They have received many students from different nationalities, occupations and ages. With a host family, you will have the opportunity to see what true Argentinean life is all about.

Our families have all been carefully selected, and we make regular visits to ensure you are comfortable and happy with your living arrangements.

If you choose to live with an Argentinean family, you should be prepared to adapt a little to their customs and habits. You will have the chance to share family gatherings, special events, traditional dishes, and much more. Our families are varied, for example, your family could be a mother whose children have already left their home, but she enjoys the company of foreign guests.

03 | STUDENT RESIDENCES

If you want to live with several local and foreign students, you can choose to stay in a private or shared room in any of the students' residencies offered by COINED.

Sharing a place with young people from all over the world is a great opportunity to learn about different cultures and make new friends as well as learning about the place in which you are studying. The main advantage of this type of accommodation is your independence and being able to participate in many social activities. You will get to know lots of people and share in a number of events and parties.

It is important to be responsible enough to use only Spanish when speaking with other international students and avoid using English!
