FIRST STEP: Application process.

To participate in our Professional Internship Program you will need to fill in the form below and send it to us, specifying the internship program you are interested in. Our staff will contact you immediately to continue with the application process.

SECOND STEP: Application form.

At this stage and with the help of our staff, you must fill in the Application Form. Apart from indicating the internship you would like to do, you will need to attach the following documents:

• CV
• Letter of Intention
• Copy of your registration fee payment receipt
• Signed copy of the Terms and Conditions of the Program

In the case of an Empowerment internship, you will have to add specific details of your research topic, and if possible, a Letter of Recommendation from a professor at your university. You must list the objectives of your research and proposed goals. If you have recently graduated, a letter by your last employer will be substantial.

Along with the completed forms, a payment of U$S 100 will need to be transferred to COINED's bank account to start the process of your application. If you decide later to cancel the internship, this amount will not be refund.

All your documents will be assessed and evaluated by the Internship Program Coordinator, who will then assign you to a placement that best meets your requirements.

THIRD STEP: A telephone interview.

For you to get a complete idea of your program, we coordinate a telephone interview with you in which you can ask any questions and discuss any doubts or concerns you might have regarding your internship program.

The interview will be conducted in English and Spanish to determine your level of Spanish; if we consider it necessary we will advise you to take some classes before you start your internship. In all cases you need to have an intermediate to high level of Spanish. The cost of the Spanish course is not included in the price, except in the case of the First Step program.

FOURTH STEP: Internship confirmation.

Depending on the program you have selected, you should receive confirmation of your internship not later than 8 to 10 weeks -generally before.

The confirmation will include:

• Description of the host institution.
• Description of your project and the tasks you will be performing in such institution.
• General information as regards the formal requirements of the institution.

If you have reserved accommodation through COINED, the information will be sent to you with your internship confirmation.

For confidential reasons, we will not disclose the host institution's name until you start your internship. Nevertheless, COINED will provide you with all the details so you have an idea of what your placement company is like.

FIFTH STEP: Complete payment.

Once your internship has been confirmed, you must complete the payment of your program by transferring the rest of the money to our bank account. Bear in mind you will be responsible for any commission charges that may occur. (See Terms & Conditions).
