REGISTRATION

• An application form must be forwarded by fax, or post. Also, our web site application form should be completed and sent to COINED.
• An advanced deposit of U$S 150 is required. This amount will be subtracted from the total cost of the program when the full payment is made.
• The deposit can be made into COINED's bank account or by credit card.
• A copy of the bank deposit or the authorization to debit the amount from a credit card must be sent to confirm the booking.
• The payment of the program must be received 2 weeks before the student arrives.
• Last minute bookings and changes: COINED reserves the right to accept last minute bookings and apply any additional charge.

PAYMENT

In order to confirm your reservation please send a cheque or bank transfer for the amount of the minimum U$S 150 deposit or, if you prefer, for the full amount of the program. Please remember to clearly indicate the name of the beneficiary, your personal information and the purpose of your payment.

CANCELLATION

Spanish Courses

Full payment of the program must be made at least 2 weeks before the course starts. If this is not done, COINED will cancel the booking and keep the initial deposit. Bank charges must be incurred by the student.

Cancellation fees are as follows:

1. 5 weeks before the course starts: no charges.
2. 2 weeks to 5 weeks before the course starts: lose deposit of U$S 150.-
3. less than 2 weeks: 30% of the program + deposit of U$S 150.-
4. After the course has started: no refunds given

All refunds have an administrative charge of 10% on the amount refunded.

Cancellations are valid only when they are made by email to the following address: info@intercoined.org, or by letter or fax. In each case, cancellation fees and administrative charges are applicable. - COINED will not review its cancellation policies in any situation, even if cancellations are due to personal emergencies, illnesses, or accidents. - All students must take out medical insurance before starting the course.

Internship Program

Cancellation fees are as follows:

1. Cancellation made prior to the internship position being confirmed, lose deposit of US$150.
2. After the internship position being confirmed and 12 weeks before starting the internship, Min. US$50 and 25% of admin costs incurred in the Internship search process. Lose deposit of US$150.
3. After the internship position being confirmed and 6 weeks before starting the internship, full program cost and 50% of admin costs incurred.
4. After the internship position being confirmed and less than 6 weeks before starting the internship, full program cost and 75% of admin costs incurred.
5. After the agreed start date of the internship, no refund given. The program is considered to have started when the participant starts to make use of COINED's services (eg. Pick-up service or first meeting with the COINED tutor). - In the situation where an Internship program has to be cancelled or suspended for reasons outside of COINED's control, COINED offers the participant a program with equivalent terms and conditions. Alternatively, COINED will offer the participant the equivalent economic value providing the cancellation terms and conditions are satisfied. COINED will not be held responsible for any damages caused in the above situation.

The participant is responsible to advise COINED of any problems that they may encounter during the period of the placement within 72 hours of the event occurring.

Each service that is contracted by the participant during the period of the program has its own cancellation policy. In the case where the participant wants to cancel a special program or promotion, the general cancellation policy will apply for the cancellation of the internship program.

PRICES

The prices of our programs are published in our web page www.intercoined.org/prices. They are valid from 1st January 2006 to 31st December 2006, and replace any other previous version.

The cost of the program includes the registration fee and the course chosen. The participant must also include the cost of other services that may have been requested (insurance, accommodation, pick up, etc).

The payment of the registration fee (U$S 50) is required, except in the following cases:

1. If the student attends classes in more than one of COINED's locations, he/she will only be charged one registration fee.
2. COINED reserves the right to charge a registration fee each time a program is changed once the student has confirmed the program and arrived at the destination.
3. The average number of students per group classes is 3 and the maximum number is 7.
4. If there is only one student at a level, he/she will take individual classes and there will be a daily reduction of 50% of group class hours.

The price of the course includes:

1. Study material.
2. Placement test.
3. The corresponding class hours of the chosen course.
4. Three extra-curricular activities (entrance tickets or any other cost related to the activity are not included). These activities are published monthly in our web page.
5. A certificate and a diploma with the level achieved.

The prices of our courses are calculated in order to offer the participant a high quality service. Therefore, they can not be changed and discounts will not be offered in any situation.

The special offers and promotions are offered in the form of complete and closed packages, and are only offered on fixed dates and are not subject to change. In the cases of special offers and promotions, full payment must be made in advance at the time of booking.

HOLIDAYS

Chile: 01 Jan./ 14 Apr./ 01 May/ 21May./ 23 May./ 18 Sep./ 19 Sep./ 10 Oct./ 01 Nov./ 08 Dec./ 25 Dec. School will be closed between December 25 and January 02.

Argentina: 01 Jan./ 13 Apr./ 14 Apr./ 01 May/ 25 May./ 19 Jun./ 09Jul./ 21 Aug./ 16 Oct./ 08 Dec./ 25 Dec.

There will not be classes on holidays, and there will not be extra classes to compensate for them.

If there are two holidays during the same week, there will be an extra class to compensate for one of them.

Holidays change every year; therefore, it is necessary to check on our web page www.intercoined.org/holidays in order to be informed about the holidays for the current year.

If there are individual classes on a holiday, there will be always an extra class in the same week to compensate for this.

ACCOMMODATION

• COINED accommodations have been carefully selected by a member of our staff in order to guarantee not only the infrastracture but also the services offered by our host families. The participants as well as the host families must abide by the rules of conduct given by COINED.
• In the case where students residences and apartments are fully booked, participants may be placed in other type of accommodation.
• In the case of bookings made two weeks before the program starts, COINED will not guarantee availability of the accommodation requested by the student since COINED gives priority to bookings made in advance. Moreover, COINED may change the price in order to provide an adequate accommodation for the student.
• If a student is not pleased with the assigned accommodation, he/she may request to change his/her accommodation. If the student provides valid reasons for his/her request, COINED will make every effort to look for another accommodation of the same type. The student must address a formal accommodation change request to the director of the school via email or in writing. COINED accepts a maximum of three changes.
• COINED is not liable to pay for changes in accommodation made on the student's behalf. If a problem with the accommodation arises, the student should call the appropriate COINED 24 hour emergency phone number.
• Even if COINED pick up service is not requested, the student must always inform COINED about the date and time of arrival. If this information is not provided in advance, COINED can not guarantee that someone will be waiting at the accommodation for the student upon arrival.
• The accommodation will be charged from 15:00 pm on the first day requested. The check-in to the assigned accommodation can be made from 15.00 am on Sunday and students must leave the accommodation before 10.00 am on Saturday. If the arrival and departure times are not complied with, additional days will be charged.

TRANSFER SERVICE

• The flight details (date, time, airport, airline, and flight number) must be confirmed in writing one week before arrival, otherwise COINED will not guarantee the transfer service and there will be no refunds for this service.
• If any changes in regards to the flight details are not duly informed, COINED will not take responsibility for the proper provision of the transferservice.
