COINED fue al Clásico. photo

La excursión mas esperada del mes se realizo con éxito. Un grupo de 13 participantes de
COINED Córdoba tuvo la oportunidad de ir a Buenos Aires a disfrutar del partido de fútbol
de mayor magnitud en Argentina, River – Boca.
El 7 de octubre era la cita entre los dos equipos en el estadio del Barrio de Nuñez, y
nosotros no queríamos quedar a afuera así que con camisetas del equipo local copamos la
tribuna popular.
Tuvimos la Suerte de disfrutar de un lindo espectáculo, los participantes aprendieron los
cantos típicos que se hacen en las canchas argentinas, comieron los famosos “choripanes”
del estadio y pudieron gritar un par de goles. Cuando parecía que la salida se iba a
demorar un poco, en la pantalla gigante del estadio televisaron el partido de rugby entre
la selección argentina y la escocesa.
El viaje de vuelta a Córdoba fue una fiesta en el colectivo, la emoción de haber sido
parte de un espectáculo tan grande como ese, duro por varias horas.


COINED foi a Clásico

A excursão mais esperada do mês foi todo um sucesso. Um grupo de 13 participantes de COINED Córdoba teve a chance de ir para Buenos Aires e curtir o jogo de Futebol de maior
concorrência na Argentina, River – Boca.
O 7 de Outubro era a data de encontro entre os dois times no estádio do bairro de Nuñez, e
agente não queria ficar de fora, assim que com camisetas do time local enchemos um pedaço
da arquibancada local.
Tivemos a sorte de aproveitar um bonito espetáculo, os participantes aprenderam as típicas
musicas de torcida da argentina, comeram o famoso “choripan” do estadio e tiveram a chance
de gritar um par de gols. Quando parecia que a saída ia ser demorada, no telão do estádio
passaram o jogo de rugby entre Argentina e Escócia.
A viajem de volta a Córdoba foi uma festa, a emoção de ter participado de um espetáculo tão
grande como esse, durou varias horas.

The end of September, a good friend and I left Cordoba to be witnesses of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world at the frontier between Argentina and Brazil. After a 22hours-drive in a very cosy and comfortable bus we reached our destiny. Our first impression was: What a heat! The first day we had enough time to visit Itaipú, one of the world’s biggest hydroelectric power plants at the frontier between Brazil and Paraguay. This monster of concrete produces 90% of the electricity of Paraguay and 25% of the Brazilian one.

The next day, we visited the Argentine side of the waterfalls. The first part of the cascades we saw was called: la garganta del Diablo – the devils gorge. I have to confess: I don’t find words to describe it, never before I saw anything similar in nature. You have to experience it by yourself! The only thing I want to say is that because of the vapour of the waterfall I wasn’t able to see the river in which the water was falling down. Absolutely overwhelmed of this scenery we lost track of time and our group. Fortunately, we found it a half hour later. All together we started a boat trip and approached to the cascades as near as possible. We got soaked to the bones, what a fun!
The ride through the jungle subsequently was a bit boring because due to the noisy truck the only animals we saw were midges which tried to bite us all the time.

After a good meal and a successfully little battle against mosquitoes at 2 am in our hotel room in Argentina, we visited the Brazilian side of the cascades the following day. Although this side is less spectacular and smaller it offers better opportunities to take pictures of the landscape and the panorama of the waterfalls.
Finally, I have to sum up that this place in Argentina is worth the visit. To visit Argentina without admiring the cascades is equal to visit Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower!
